About: This forum is a supplement to the RPiM MUSH role-playing environment (often referred to as the MUSH or grid) and does not take place on the forum itself. Please see our contact information for instructions on how to connect to the MUSH. Both sites have their own sets of rules in accordance with their respective Terms of Services.

GENERAL
All players must at least 13 years of age or older to access the MUSH.

No illegal activity may be done or advocated on RPiM. No actions against United States Federal, State, Local, or international law will be tolerated. This includes the use, spread, and advocation of pirated downloads, identity theft, unlawful solicitation of services or products, and various other unlawful activities depending on the user's place of residence and citizenship. We are legally required to contact the appropriate law enforcement should this be discovered.

Inappropriate links cannot be posted on any channels or boards. This includes but is not limited to sites invoking hateful or ignorant speech, activism toward or against specific political or religious groups or individuals, pornography, or links to illegal sites.

CONDUCT
All players are expected to act in a courteous manner to one another. Please respect one another's views, opinions, and affiliations. Inciting hateful, derogatory, or condescending speech against another player is not tolerated.

There is a zero tolerance policy on harassment of any kind. You may not use any sort of program or equipment to monitor the actions of other users without their consent. RPiM reserves the right to review logs if a harassment report is filed and strict sanctions will be made on the offender.

CHARACTER
Each player is allowed a maximum of five characters to role play with. Wizard-level staff is allowed one additional non-RPable character for staff purposes. Under no circumstances should these wizard alts be used on-grid except for administration. More details on character rules are found on the Character Staff threads. Each player is allowed only one canon character and one OC of Advanced race when they are available. Alternate Universe (AU) versions of canon characters such as child, alternate species, or genderswapped versions will not be accepted for application.

Your character MUST be your own. If a player is found using a character created by someone else without their permission, that player will lose the character and be issued citations accordingly. This can extend to name, appearance, or other unique factors on a case-by-case basis.

Under no circumstances is adult or sexual RP allowed on RPiM either in-character, in pages, or in private out-of-character scenes. All caught doing so will be punished accordingly. This goes double for canon characters.

No character is allowed to be depicted exhibiting the use of illegal drugs of any kind. Depiction of alcohol is allowed on-grid in the forms of hard cider, whiskey, wine, and its various other forms (too many to list.)

Players' Bill of Rights
All players are entitled to the following rights that cannot be infringed upon either by staff or other players. Please contact other staff or a wizard if these rights are violated.

RIGHT TO PRIVACY - RPiM staff will not actively monitor all the actions of players nor will logs be reviewed unless there is compelling reason to do so.

RIGHT TO RESPECT - All players are expected to treat one another with respect. Do not mock or deride other players' concepts or role-playing style and preferences.

RIGHT TO EQUALITY - No player will be given special treatment for their position in or out of the MUSH. All players will be held to the same standard at all times.

RIGHT TO TRANSPARENCY - Staff will not hide information from a player, nor will they hide when major changes are going to be made and spring them on the grid without prior notice.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in disciplinary action depending on the severity of the infraction up to and including permanent banishment from both the RPiM MUSH and forum.
